A dozen or so North Suffolk Garden Club members and guests spent a lovely summer day visiting Bridge Gardens in Bridgehampton and Longhouse Reserve in East Hampton. Peconic Land Trust’s Bridge Gardens is an outdoor classroom, demonstration garden and community resource that focuses on sustainable living and ecologically sound practices. Longhouse Reserve is the creation of Jack Lenor Larsen, well-known textile designer, author and collector. Covering nearly 16 acres, the property is a garden, museum and sculpture park. Its mission is to inspire a creative life through its collections, gardens, sculpture and programs that reflect world cultures.
